A total of 131 girls and boys from the Altagracia parish, Sucre municipality, were immersed in the study of astronomy, microscopy, chemistry, physics and educational robotics, through a day of scientific dissemination held at the EU Fe y Alegría San Luis.

The activity, promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT) through the Massification Plan of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program, directly served 78 girls and 53 boys between the ages of 6 and 12, belonging to the territorial area of the San Luis Gonzaga Socioproductive Equity, Justice and Peace Commune.

The approach, according to a press release, was accompanied by technical and teaching support from specialists from the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Sucre), representatives of the Center for the Development of Educational Quality (CDCE) and teachers from the school.

During the day, the participants addressed five areas of strategic knowledge in a practical and interactive way. In astronomy, they explored the universe using audiovisual tools and digital interfaces; in microscopy, they prepared and observed samples of onion cells and pollen; while in fun chemistry they measured the pH of everyday substances through oxide-reduction experiments.

In addition, in physics, they analyzed the phenomena of gravity and energy transmission with plasma balls, pendulums and non-Newtonian fluids, complementing the experience with training in robotics, where students operated prototypes and managed digital commands.
