New York social movements express support for President Maduro

A group of demonstrators gathered in front of the federal court in New York, in support of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, who appeared on March 26 at their second judicial hearing in the United States, where they have been kidnapped since January.

The attendees, carrying banners and flags of Venezuela, demanded the release of the president and expressed their solidarity with the Venezuelan people during the day.

The defense of the head of state described the arrest as a kidnapping and considered the judicial process against him illegal.

According to reports, similar demonstrations took place in other cities, reflecting an international mobilization in support of President Maduro.
