Ocumare de la Costa celebrates Thanksgiving Mass in honor of Saint John the Baptist for the rebirth of Venezuela

Under the premise of the union in the reconstruction of the areas affected by the double earthquake of last June 24 in an act of faith, devotion and cultural roots, the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast of the state of Aragua, celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass in honor of San Juan Bautista in the parish of San Sebastián Mártir.

The religious meeting, organized by the Secretariat of Culture of the state of Aragua with Nicolás González, had as its main purpose to unite the people in prayer for the rebirth, blessing and strength of all of Venezuela.

This Eucharist was part of a regional initiative that was replicated simultaneously in the rest of the municipalities of the Aragüeña entity, consolidating itself as a space for deep reflection to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and invite citizens to participate actively in the reconstruction of the country.

The activity in Ocumare de la Costa was attended by the director of local culture, Luis Lovera, and the mayor of the municipality, Wilmer Leal, who accompanied the devotees, cultors and the people in general on this day of faith and hope. Leal reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to continue providing spaces that strengthen collective spirit and work together for the well-being of the Homeland, while thanking Governor Joana Sánchez for the support received for the rehabilitation of the effects following the earthquake.

On June 24, after the double earthquake, this coastal area of the state of Aragua was affected in its homes, institutions and Catholic churches, which have been inspected by experts at risk.
