The Venezuelan cyclist Orluis Aular of the Movistar Team won his first podium in the first stage of the Vuelta a España 2025.
Aular climbed to the third step of the podium after crossing the finish line at the same time as the winner of the stage, Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck), who completed the course in 4 hours, 9 minutes and 12 seconds, and the second Ethan Vernon (Premier Tech).
The opening stage took place on a route of 186.7 kilometers, which covered the route from Torino-Reggia Di Venaria to Novara.
The Venezuelan is in fourth position in the general classification and is the only one who has obtained a bonus.
The 2025 Tour of Spain began this Saturday, August 23 in the historic city of Turin, Italy, and will end on September 14 in the vibrant Spanish capital, Madrid.
