Since the beginning of the voting process, until noon on July 28, there have been no incidents to regret, said Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

During statements made after exercising their right to vote, he highlighted the peaceful environment and the civic behavior of the Venezuelan population who came out to vote.

“The projection we have is that the whole process will end as it is developing at this precise moment, with peace, with citizenship,” he said, while stressing that the military institution, together with the Public Security agencies, are still deployed throughout the country to ensure the safety of all voters.

In this regard, he stressed that the FANB has a situation room to receive and process any incident complaint that may be filed during the electoral event.

“We have seen how, through social networks, they have tried to distort the spirit and function of our personnel. I must say that our men and women of the FANB have the training, ethics and professionalism inherent to the execution of Plan República. It is necessary to bear in mind that not everything that appears on the networks is true,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, Padrino López highlighted the robustness of the Venezuelan electoral system, which can be endorsed by international observers who are in the country.
