So far in 2026, the National Government, through Pequiven, has shipped more than 150,000 tons of urea to producers in the country, said the Minister of Agriculture and Lands, Vladimir Padrino López.
Through a video released on his Telegram channel, Padrino López highlighted that the delivery of this quantity of fertilizers represents an 11 percent increase compared to those granted during the same period in 2025.
“To date, more than 150,000 metric tons of urea have been shipped throughout the country, to guarantee the planting plan for the winter cycle, covering the fertilizer needs of more than 600,000 productive hectares in strategic areas such as corn and rice, without neglecting coffee, sugar cane and vegetables,” said the minister.
