Padrino López: Venezuela is facing a coup attempt by the extreme right

The defense minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, denounced that Venezuela is in the presence of an attempted coup d'etat by ultra-right factions that refuse to recognize the result of the elections of last July 28.

“We are witnessing a coup d'etat framed by fascist factors of the extremist right supported by US imperialism. President Nicolás Maduro Moros has taken the lead to stop him, together with the people,” he highlighted in statements made this Tuesday.

In this regard, he highlighted the total support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the Head of State and the constitution of the Republic. “I call on all political factors, especially this subversive faction that has done so much damage to Venezuela so that it enters the democratic and constitutional lane and we can honor the people who are asking us for understanding, coexistence and dialogue,” he emphasized.

In the same way, he recalled President Maduro's call for Dialogue to achieve understanding among all Venezuelans.
