The Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs of the United Socialist
Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, emphasized that coercive and unilateral
measures have aimed at damaging the economy since 2015, so the great consensus of Venezuelans is that the blockade and sanctions should be permanently lifted to recover the economy.
During the mobilization that started from
Plaza Morelos, which demands the total lifting of sanctions against Venezuela,
Infante affirmed that, without sanctions, without blockade, without
unilateral coercive measures, an important economic recovery process will take place in our country and that will be taxed on the income of workers.
“Only if they lift all the sanctions, the
blockade, the unilateral measures, so that we are free to trade
with the world, to sell, to buy and strengthen all economic and
productive capacity, will the economy in Venezuela recover in its entirety,” he said.
Infante congratulated the Venezuelan people for the “extraordinary”
mobilization, men, women and youth, education, culture, sports and
health workers, from all sectors, who took to the streets to demand that
the world lift the sanctions and the blockade against our nation.
“This peaceful mobilization is the expression of
a people in peace, in tranquility, of political stability, and that has been
thanks to the extraordinary leadership of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, her courage, her vision, the strategic nature she has had in these
times of leading the country in such complex moments,” he said.
