From Petare to the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in Caracas, social and community movements are leading a peaceful march to demand an end to the aggression of the U.S. government in the Caribbean and to denounce the international silence regarding attempted aggression against Venezuela.

Elis Guerra, spokesperson for the People's Power, said that “Venezuela has historically worked for peace and has trained men who have defended it in the world.” He criticized international organizations for “turning a blind eye” to the wars promoted by the United States and Israel and denounced that they seek to “seek the wealth of Latin peoples, they don't listen to the true feeling of the Caribbean.”

Guerra expressed support for President Nicolás Maduro and emphasized the Venezuelan people's resistance to “hybrid war, psychological warfare, assassination plans against the head of state, and unilateral coercive measures.”

For his part, the socialist activist Edmundo Rondón emphasized that “Venezuela and its Revolution believe in peace, not in the strings of war that disturb the Latin and Caribbean people.” He warned that a military attack against him would affect the entire region.

David Cobo , a member of the Caucagüita community, demanded the restoration of the United Nations system. He noted that the United States consumes more than 22 million barrels of oil a day and is at risk of a possible economic recession, according to international analysts.

“They don't want Venezuela to be an active member of the BRICS because it's close to their strategic interests,” Cobo warned.

Cobo concluded with a call to the population: “Join the non-invasion movement. We will win because God is with us.”
