Physicians from the Public Health System offered more than 1,500 specialized consultations in Aragua

A total of 1,584 specialized medical consultations were consolidated in the state of Aragüeña, as part of the balance corresponding to a week of simultaneous comprehensive health deployments in the prioritized areas.

According to a press release from the health portfolio, the healthcare teams carried out ten massive institutional days, with which direct and free medical coverage was guaranteed to a universe of 983 people belonging to various territorial axes in the region.

The design of these preventive and institutional approaches facilitated the development of clinical practices in general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics. The mobilization of assistance responds in a coordinated manner to the public welfare policies issued by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MinSalud) as the governing body, lines of action that the regional authority articulates in the territory through social care plans.

The articulation of the Integral Community Health Areas (ASIC) with organized popular power allowed the free distribution of seven thousand eighty-nine drugs for the treatment of various pathologies. In addition, the weekly balance sheet included the delivery of 12,191 benefits, the application of 91 doses of immunization and the execution of nutritional and blood pressure control investigations in the municipalities of Girardot, Santiago Mariño, Bolívar and Santos Michelena (Las Tejerías).
