The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Delcy Rodríguez, signed this Monday the Regulations of the Law on the Right of
Women to a Life Free of Violence, at the beginning of the Violent Month in the country.
“Every day in our homeland must be violet, which is a woman
's life free from any type of violence, including institutional
revictimization. And that's why I already approve the shelter housing
proposal, I approve all the proposals that are already in the regulations,” said the president from
the Miraflores Palace.
During a strategic meeting on demands against the Venezuelan women's
sector, the Head of State indicated that these actions
should be framed in the Venezuela Women's Plan, the Venezuela Women's Mission, “which
has a vertex for women's right to a life free of violence.”
He ordered that a
shelter be established in all municipalities of the country, “so that women know where they can go, that women know who they
can count on, who can listen to them and who can accompany them in this battle.
Let them know that they are not alone. That's my message.”
