Members of the Cayapa Heroica National Plan carried out a technical day of technological recovery with the support of the Mayor's Office of Morán and the Municipal Institute of Health Care of the Morán Municipality (Imasm) in two medical care centers located in El Tocuyo, Lara state.
According to a press release, the two-day day event took place at the Patricia Leal Commune outpatient clinic, located in Bolívar parish, and at the Dr. Egidio Montesinos General Hospital in El Tocuyo.
During the inspection in the outpatient clinic, the technical team managed to repair nine operating equipment that was in the Emergency Area, including a centrifuge, two suction pumps, a neonatal weight, an adult weight, a microscope, an ophthalmoscope, an incubator, a printer and an electroscalpel.
This health center treats an average of 700 patients per month, so the implementation of these instruments represents a substantial improvement in the quality of primary medical care.
Meanwhile, technical care at the Dr. Egidio Montesinos General Hospital made it possible to repair 16 highly complex medical equipment, distributed in the Cardiology, Operating Room, Neonatal, Gynecology and Emergency Department services.
The recovered equipment includes a ventilator, three phototherapy lamps, three sterilizers, two colposcopes, four multiparameter monitors, a nebulizer, an incubator and an electroscalpel.
This type II hospital has a monthly care capacity that ranges from 2,500 to 3,500 patients; the rehabilitation of these devices strengthens resolution capacity and reduces the need for referrals to other healthcare centers.
