The Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Sucre), through the Cayapa Heroica Plan, carried out two new maintenance and repair days in the state of Sucre, which allowed the recovery of 27 technological, medical and scientific equipment for the benefit of educational, health and research institutions in the region.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the first approach was developed at the facilities of the Cayapa Heroica Nucleus, located in the parish of Santa Inés, where a technical team composed of six specialists optimized the technological resources of various institutions in the region. During the day, corrective maintenance was applied to recover 23 vital equipment for the health and education sectors.

In the Fe y Alegría San Luis Educational Unit, 16 Canaima laptops were repaired and put in place to ensure the continuity of students' pedagogical tools. In addition, at the Western Territorial Polytechnic University of Sucre Clodosbaldo Russián (Uptoscr), portable equipment, two uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) and two coffee machines were recovered, in addition to partial repairs to a pH meter and a water recirculator for specialized use. The deployment also included the intervention of two digital blood pressure monitors in the Popular Clinic Type II (CPT II) Villa Martha.

In addition, the Cayapa Heroica Plan implemented another approach at the facilities of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IDEA), in the town of Mochima, an activity coordinated by Professor José Acosta on behalf of Fundacite Sucre.

As a result of this day, the technicians achieved the operability of two printers and the partial recovery of a microscope, returning essential operational capabilities to this study center.
