Minister Plasencia: Uruguayan Foreign Minister disrespects the sovereignty and self-determination of Venezuelans

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Felix Plasencia, described the statements of his Uruguayan counterpart, Mario Lubetkin, as arrogant and clothed in the light of the process of transformation and political dialogue for the country's coexistence.

“Faced with the statements of the Foreign Minister of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects old and arrogant visions that disrespect the sovereignty and self-determination of peoples and that have nothing to do with the process of transformation that Venezuela is carrying out through political dialogue for democratic coexistence,” Plasencia stressed.

He added that “statements and positions of this kind constitute an unacceptable interference since the future of Venezuela will be defined by its people, in strict accordance with its Constitution and its legal system.”
