Positive balance: Easter 2026 closes with extensive recreational deployment and faith in the capital

With a successful balance that integrated spirituality, mass recreation and the promotion of the local economy, national and regional authorities celebrated the closing of Major Week, highlighting the massive participation of citizens throughout the Venezuelan territory.

The President (E) Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized that the season was not only a space for spiritual encounter, but a fundamental catalyst for the productive development of the regions through tourism and local commerce.

“We went to pray and greet the entrepreneurs in the area. Holy Week becomes an engine of the economy, tourism, entrepreneurship, the local and communal economy that is being promoted in all the tourist visits that took place in the country,” Rodríguez said during the closing of the activities.

In this regard, the president also took the opportunity to share traditional activities with the attendees, making special mention of popular creativity. “This was the Parrot that won. Excellent and flew high. Happy and happy to have closed Holy Week,” he concluded.

For his part, the Head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, highlighted the inclusive nature of the festivities, pointing out the important presence of religious communities and the logistical deployment for healthy recreation.

“He also took the evangelical Christian church for us. There were also 37,322 activities across the country. Well the Seven Words, the concert and Easter Sunday, the re-enactors: 3,500 recreational people more than ten thousand volunteers who were attending recreational, cultural and sports activities,” Fernández explained.

The operation was supported by thousands of volunteers, thus reaffirming the executive's commitment to ensuring safe spaces for culture and recreation, consolidating the tourism sector as a key player in the national economic system.
