The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted on Monday the importance of education for the country's development and highlighted the State's efforts to guarantee this fundamental right to children and adolescents.

During the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year, from the Elías Toro National Basic School, in Caracas, the president reported that more than 86,000 children have been relocated, “who were affected by the double earthquake in different states of the country, so that everyone can go to class and above all a prevention plan to avoid school dropout.”

“The effort is united, but always with a goal, with a horizon, that everyone goes to class, that the 200 days are over and that education is of quality, because the future development of Venezuela depends on the education of our boys, of our girls. The concept of a sovereign, independent, free homeland is in the formation of our children,” he emphasized.
