President (E) Delcy Rodríguez announced activation of the National State of Emergency

The president in charge Delcy Rodríguez declared a State of Emergency as established by the Constitution, after the double earthquake that occurred this Wednesday and which affected different states.

He also announced the activation of the General Staff, which will be “composed of the sectoral vice-president Diosdado Cabello, the vice-president of Public Works, Juan José Ramírez; the vice-president of the social area, Héctor Rodríguez and the vice-president of economy, Calixto Ortega,” and he also specified that the M/G Juan Sulbarán will preside over this instance.

In that sense, he explained that this instance will work “together to attend to and begin to channel all this situation generated by these two consecutive earthquakes that it suffered in our country”.
