The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured, from Fuerte Tiuna, that one of the teachings of Carabobo's heroic feat was perseverance.

During the commemorative events of the 205th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, Rodríguez specified that the road to independence was full of defeats and contradictions that allowed us to reach Carabobo (the Battle) “strengthened by the perseverance, the perseverance of Bolívar (The Liberator), of knowing that when we want something, that when we have a dream and are constantly, we are invincible as we were invincible in Carabobo”.

He also highlighted the greatness of the Father of the Fatherland and his army went out to “liberate other nations that for more than 300 years had been subjugated by the Spanish Empire”, while assuring that the Battle of Carabobo is the “greatness of a country, of a people that not only thinks of themselves, but also thinks of humanity, that thinks of the most sublime values of humanity and that is why we cross borders, not to harm, not to attack, not to subdue; we cross borders to liberate and for the independence of fraternal peoples”.
