President (E) Delcy Rodríguez celebrates Clara Fuentes gold in the Asia-Oceania Open in parapotency

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, celebrated this Wednesday the two gold medals won by the Venezuelan athlete Clara Fuentes at the Bangkok 2026 Asia-Oceania Open Championships for Para Powerlifting, held in Thailand.

Through her social networks, the president in charge congratulated Fuentes, who demonstrated “discipline, passion and dedication. My recognition for once again highlighting our national tricolor,” he said.

The Venezuelan won the gold medal in the 50 kg category, with which the Paris 2024 Paralympic champion reaffirmed her absolute dominance on the platform, totaling 353 kilos in the city of Bangkok.

In this regard, Venezuela stands out as the guest nation of honor in a competition that brings together the best 249 athletes from 23 countries.
