The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, greeted the Jewish community in Venezuela and the world this Wednesday for the beginning of Pesach, with a call for peace, understanding and coexistence.

“My call from Venezuela, a nation where there is freedom of worship, is for all religions to join in peace, understanding, coexistence and to continue moving forward together for tranquility and national prosperity,” he said in a message posted on his social networks.

Through a video, the president in charge sent “a very special greeting to Chief Rabbi Isaac Cohen to the Jewish community in Venezuela and to the Jewish peoples of the world in general. My call from Venezuela is for peace,” he reiterated.

He stressed that “today is a special day for the Jewish people”, a “moment of celebration of a people that began its liberation and that, like the peoples of the world, aspires to peace, tranquility and prosperity”.
