President (E) Delcy Rodríguez inaugurated World Retailers Congress 2026

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, inaugurated this Tuesday the World Retailers Congress 2026, which is being held in Caracas with the participation of important international delegations.

During her speech, the president in charge greeted the guests from Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil and Panama, who are present at this event, which “allows us to keep track of the distribution system not only in Venezuela, but also at the regional level.”

He praised the national economic growth that is being manifested in Congress. “We can see the numbers, how the economy is developing and performing in our country in relation to this very important, very special event,” he said.

“In the first 5 months (of 2026), real consumption growth was 28% compared to the previous year,” Rodríguez added, highlighting the growth of the Retailers sector, “which already has 644,000 direct jobs.”
