The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, exalted this Wednesday the importance of signing energy agreements with a delegation of the Government of the United States (USA), led by the Secretary of Energy, Christopher Wright.

“We are making history, with the signing of important agreements. Agreements where the Chevron company, which has been in Venezuela for more than a century, expands its presence, its investments, its technology in our country,” said the president in charge from the Miraflores Palace.

He highlighted the synergy between the Venezuelan oil industry and the U.S. oil industry Chevron. “The synergy between Venezuelan workers and Chevron. I say that both Chevron and Eni (Italian oil company), I stress, are companies that have been in bad and good times. And I am very pleased that this is a good time to keep moving forward,” he said.

Rodríguez indicated that the alliance with Chevron will allow a significant increase in the country's oil production, which translates into “the well-being of the Venezuelan people (...) in more employment, in more salaries, in public services, in hospitals, in schools, in food, the well-being of a country that as a whole seeks prosperity and a better future. That is the transformation that Venezuela needs,” he emphasized.
