President (E) Delcy Rodríguez praised the achievements of national men's and women's basketball

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, praised this Tuesday the work of the Women's National Team qualified for the FIBA U-19 World Cup and the champions of the men's and women's professional basketball super leagues, Marinos de Anzoátegui and Hidrocarbons de Caracas, respectively.

“Keep developing your sports skills and competing with discipline, companionship and love for Venezuela,” urged the president in charge in a message posted on her social networks.

This Monday, Rodríguez received at the Miraflores Palace with honors the members of the men's and women's basketball team, who dedicated themselves to their recent competitions.

During the activity, she highlighted the effort, discipline and teamwork that allowed the Venezuelan women's basketball team to achieve an unprecedented milestone by sealing their ticket to the FIBA U-19 World Cup China 2027.

During the ceremony, the President in Charge also recognized the historic feat of Marinos de Anzoátegui, who after winning the final series, with a strong score of 82-66, against Guaiquerís de Margarita, managed to raise their twelfth trophy, thus consolidating itself as the most successful franchise in the history of Venezuelan professional basketball.
