President (E) Delcy Rodríguez promotes modernization of Children's Cardiology 20 years after its foundation

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Thursday the event for the 20th anniversary of the Dr. Gilberto Rodríguez Ochoa Latin American Children's Cardiological Hospital, located in the parish of La Vega in Caracas.

During the tour of the facilities, the president in charge promoted the modernization of this important health center, legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, with the care of children and adolescents and more than 15,300 surgeries over 20 years of foundation.

Rodríguez noted the practical demonstrations of the cardiovascular rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation program carried out by children and young people who underwent surgery in the healthcare center, in addition to participating in the official presentation of the book and record production Twenty Songs for the Heart of a People.

The day served as a framework to formalize the modernization and technological infrastructure plans planned for the year 2026, aimed at providing new equipment for echocardiography, hemodynamics, extracorporeal circulation systems and fixed and portable X-rays.
