President (E) expressed to Colombia the Venezuelan intention to have relations of respect, cooperation and friendship

The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, from Fuerte Tiuna, congratulated the electoral process in Colombia, in which Abelardo Espriella was elected.

“We recognize the sovereign will of the people of Colombia and we congratulate that electoral process and we say <>, because those who in the past attacked Venezuela <demos un paso adelante, no miremos atrás> from Colombia met with the failure and not only the resounding failure of two sister peoples, of peoples united in blood by the same sword, but also that they caused suffering to the people of Colombia”.

In that sense, he ratified his “faith in relations of respect, cooperation and friendship, as appropriate, between sister peoples (...) let us be the first defenders of sovereignty and integrity and for the entire universe with that legacy”.

The words of the head of state are due to the recognition of the Liberator, Simon Bolivar, as the man who crossed borders to liberate other lands.
