This Tuesday, June 23, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that 90% of the products found today on supermarket shelves and in distribution sectors are made in Venezuela.

“I want to take this opportunity to highlight that 90% of the products that are on the shelves in the distribution sectors are Venezuelan products, products made in Venezuela of domestic production,” he said, highlighting today there is a full supply in the country, which according to figures is 98%.

For this reason, during the inauguration of the World Retailers Congress 2026, he called on all economic and productive sectors of the country to continue on the path of domestic production. “Let nothing distract us, much less that we think about giving up domestic production due to imports,” he said.

He reaffirmed that the reflection of these figures is part of a joint effort between “domestic production, distribution and commercialization”. At the same time, he reaffirmed his commitment to continue accompanying these processes for the country's economic development.

“We continue to follow this important path, which is the process of recovering our economy, of recovering the consumption of Venezuelans, thanks also to policies that allow us to gradually recover the income of the country's workers; all this formula, as I said, which is a virtuous formula for entering workers, paying taxes, consumption of the Venezuelan population and national production, must be the formula of Venezuela that has allowed to overcome the economic blockade, but it also projects us into a truly very promising future for our economy and for our country,” he said.
