This Thursday, June 25, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that rescuers are currently being deployed from all over the country to intensify search and rescue efforts.

“Let's take advantage of the light and we can accelerate rescue efforts,” he said, noting that he has asked the private sector for support to rent yellow machinery for rescue work in the different affected areas.

He also indicated that they are transferring rescuers to the state of La Guaira, which has been declared a natural disaster zone; as well as in Greater Caracas, because they are areas where buildings had collapsed.

In the same way, he highlighted the arrival of specialized rescuers certified by the United Nations (UN) system to join the rescue efforts. At the same time, he recognized all State agencies that have tirelessly supported search and rescue efforts.
