During the events to commemorate the 205th Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo and the Bolivarian Army Day, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated that a new spirituality emerged in Venezuela after the attacks of last January 3.
From the Army Command, in Fuerte Tiuna, the president in charge pointed out that “this emotional act that leads us to rethink Carabobo”, and stated that the words of the Liberator Simón Bolívar 205 years ago “resound in our minds, throb in our reasons for what it is to defend the freedom and independence of Venezuela every hour, every day.”
He stressed that, at this historic moment, “Venezuela is observed, criticized, attacked by external forces and sometimes from the inside by those who do not understand or understand history”, so we must know and understand what a new Venezuela is about.
“Because of the misfortune we have received, the external aggressions, the threats, today I say that Venezuela is stronger. I feel that Venezuela has a different spirit, a spirit that leads us to deeply understand the value of peace, tranquility, independence, freedom in a new spirituality of a society that seeks reunion between Venezuelans and Venezuelans,” said Rodríguez.
In this regard, he emphasized that Venezuelan society “seeks to bury forever the hatred and intolerance that turned into bombs and missiles on January 3”, through new paths of a “dignified Venezuela that with great force defends what we inherited from Carabobo”.
