In the framework of National Physician's Day, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported on the graduation of 1,660 comprehensive community doctors, who joined the Public Health System immediately.
“I want to highlight that 41,531 undergraduate students and 4,618 postgraduate students are currently studying medicine at the Hugo Chávez Frías University of Health Sciences,” he said at the event he led, held in the outdoor spaces of the Miraflores Palace, on the occasion of the enactment of the new Venezuelan Red Cross Law.
He said that “in the presence of the deputies who have brought the Red Cross Law, notice this significant fact for Venezuela, how our doctors are trained and our doctors are immediately integrated into the Public Health System.”
In this regard, he stressed that it is “a recognition of what the right to health should be, which is a human right and in Venezuela the right to free health, and we too work together and coordinate with the private health system.”
He commented that the deputy Pedro Infante, the first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), was present at the event, as well as the parliamentarian for the opposition block, Antonio Ecarri, “and he accompanies us through the block of Bolivarian deputies, Jehyson Guzmán.”
Regarding the legal instrument, he ratified that “we received this Law from the Venezuelan Red Cross, and we hand it over to the country and hand it over to your organization so that it can continue to bear fruit and continue to provide the very high service they provide in our country.”
