The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced early this Thursday the arrival of delegations of rescuers from Mexico, the United States, Qatar, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador to join rescue efforts and search for victims of the earthquakes that affected Venezuela on 24 June.
“The priority is to go to the rescue of those people who are boarded up by houses or buildings that collapsed and in the next few hours we will be receiving rescuers from countries that have already communicated with our Government,” Rodríguez said, in statements offered from the Miraflores Palace.
He also thanked this gesture of international solidarity and confirmed the contact with authorities to coordinate the arrival of these experts in the field of debris removal and the location of victims.
“Venezuela will never forget the hand extended to our people in these difficult hours,” the president stressed.
