President in Charge announces closure of Maiquetía International Airport after serious damage to its infrastructure

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the temporary closure of Simón Bolívar International Airport, in Maiquetía, after damage was reported to the facilities of this air terminal.

“I want to report that the Maiquetía airport is closed due to serious damage to its infrastructure,” said the president in charge of the radio and television channel where she gave a balance after the earthquakes recorded in the country on the afternoon of this Wednesday, June 24.
