The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced a strategic alliance between the Ministry of People's Power for Defense and the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology, aimed at developing technological capabilities for national defense.
During the commemoration of the 205th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, he affirmed that this articulation seeks to strengthen the country's independence and sovereignty through scientific advances applied to the military sphere.
“I want to announce an alliance, an indissoluble union between the Ministry of People's Power for Defense and the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology. We are looking for great technological advances to make our nation impregnable and for great developments that are the main tool of our soldiers and soldiers in the defense of sovereignty and independence,” he said.
Rodríguez also reported that he instructed Chief General González López to create the Vice Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, an instance designed to serve the personnel of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the military family, while noting that this measure responds to the people's recognition of the military institution and its historic role in the defense of the country.
The president in charge recalled the example of the Liberation Army and highlighted the continuity of the national commitment to independence. He called on the Venezuelan people to maintain unity and to sustain the collective effort for justice, equality and the protection of the future of children and young people.
“I invite our people to continue on the path of national union. That just as Bolívar did not rest, this people do not rest in the search for justice and equality. That is the heritage that makes us Venezuela.”
Rodríguez closed his speech by reaffirming that the defense of sovereignty is a permanent objective and called for the preservation of national unity as the foundation of the Republic.
