President-in-Charge appointed Rolando Alcalá as the new Minister for Electric Energy

This Wednesday, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed Rolando Alcalá as the new Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, replacing M/G Jorge Márquez, who now holds the title of the Housing and Habitat portfolio.
Alcalá is an “electrical engineer from Simón Bolívar University and a specialist in electrical projects with extensive national and international experience,” said the president in charge through her Telegram channel.
He stressed that the new Minister “assumes the commitment and responsibility to continue strengthening the National Electricity System of our country.”
“I thank M/G Jorge Márquez Monsalve for his leadership of this ministerial portfolio,” Rodríguez added in his message.
