This Wednesday, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, asked the National Assembly (AN) to expedite the approval of the new Mining Law to increase national and international investment in metallic, non-ferrous deposits and rare earths or critical minerals.
“I ask the deputies of the National Assembly so that we can quickly present investment and development opportunities in the mining area to the Venezuelan people and national and international investors,” urged the President in charge.
After leaving the meeting held with the Secretary of the Department of the Interior of the United States, Doug Burgum, President Rodróguez emphasized that during the meeting, relevant aspects of the agendas between the two nations related to the mining sectors were addressed, including metallic, non-metallic, strategic and non-strategic minerals.
“We believe Secretary Burgum that the successful models of amending the Organic Hydrocarbons Law are present in the Mining Act under the win-win formula,” he said.
