As part of the beginning of Holy Week, this Friday, March 27, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with international religious leaders and evangelical people based on an emotional act of Faith Diplomacy.
In his speech at the event taking place at the Caracas Polyhedron, he stressed that “I ask all of you to lift up our hearts, our deep spiritual soul for the peace and tranquility of Venezuela. For a Venezuela of happiness”.
“Let us remember what the life of our Father Jesus was like, the Jesus who washed the feet and healed the wounds of the sick, the Jesus who cared for the poor,” he emphasized.
He also asked for a prayer for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant Cilia Flores, who maintain an attitude of permanent prayer for Venezuela.
He also called for supporting the Democratic Coexistence and Peace Program and the Amnesty Law, as instruments to promote forgiveness among Venezuelans.
He urged that hearts be healed from hate and intolerance, and to understand that the path is one of encounter and coexistence.
He also expressed the hope that, with that same spirit of brotherhood and spirituality, Venezuela can bring blessings and peace to other countries of the world.
In that regard, he prayed that relations between the Peoples of the United States and Venezuela would move towards coexistence, respect and cooperation, within a framework of legality and recognition of Venezuela's independence.
He expressed his desire that Venezuela be free of sanctions, so that the people can flourish, the economy can breathe and prosperity reach the humblest.
During the ceremony, values associated with his leadership were highlighted, including faith, resilience, wisdom and a vocation for service.
The president in charge was accompanied by authorities from the ministerial cabinet, evangelical Christian representatives of the country, as well as international religious leaders, including Pastor Ramiro Abel Peña JR, leader of the “Christ the King in Waco” Baptist Church in the United States, and Pastor Roosevelt Fonseca, principal leader of the “Mission Christian Life” Church, from Colombia-USA.
