President in Charge Delcy Rodríguez appointed Carlos Castillo as Minister for Labor

As part of the changes in the government cabinet, this Wednesday the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed Alexis Castillo as the new Minister of Popular Power for the Social Work Process, replacing Eduardo Piñate.

Castillo is a lawyer, professor and specialist in Labor Law, and is currently a Magistrate of the Social Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Rodríguez explained on his Telegram channel, where he thanked the judicial body for the permission granted to the minister “to carry out his new functions.”

“I have full confidence in his professionalism and extensive track record in favor of the well-being and rights of our working class,” he said.

Finally, he thanked Piñate for his commitment to this Ministry and noted that “he will go on to assume new responsibilities.”
