From the state of Sucre, this Monday, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of the Popular Consultation to be held next Sunday, March 8, on International Women's Day.

“That day we are not only called to a popular consultation, you have already selected your projects, more than 36,000 selected projects; each communal circuit will choose from seven projects that have already been decided by the assemblies,” Rodríguez said during a meeting with the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the entity.

He stressed that this consultation, first of all, “is established as a mechanism in the Constitution, of participatory and leading democracy”, and, secondly, “it is the organized people, also as established by our Constitution, in the decisions of public policies in Venezuela.”

He said that this does not happen anywhere else in the world, while in the Bolivarian nation the People are consulted about where social investment, investment in public services, for economy, for security, for organization, is going . “The Venezuelan people should be proud,” he emphasized.
