This Monday, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led the delivery of the rehabilitation works of the Ramón “Mocho” Navas gymnasium, in Petare, with the objective of strengthening the sports system of this Miranda community in the country and transforming the spaces of the city.
Renovated gym for sports
During her tour of the Mirandino sector, the president in charge inaugurated the Ignacio Ramón “Mocho” Navas gymnasium. This rehabilitation is part of a larger effort to strengthen the country's sports infrastructure and provide adequate spaces for youth to develop their talents.
During the inauguration, the importance of boxing was highlighted as a discipline that has brought success to Venezuela in international competitions. With the recovery of the gym, the aim is to expand the sport and offer young people the opportunity to train in an optimal environment, thus contributing to their comprehensive training and to the strengthening of the competitive spirit.
The work was carried out through joint work between the community and the National Corporation “Together Everything Is Possible”, reflecting the commitment of the Bolivarian government to social welfare and sports development. This effort will not only benefit local athletes, but it also represents a step towards building humane cities and a more inclusive and sustainable development model in Venezuela.
The award ceremony of the school in Petare coincided with the second day of the “Great National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions”, in an initiative to mobilize all sectors of the country around a call for peace, unity and an end to international sanctions.
