President in charge Delcy Rodríguez presented the National Culture Award 2025

In this edition, the Bolivarian Government accredited figures with more than 30 years of life experience

At an event held at the National Art Gallery (GAN), the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the award of the National Culture Prize 2025, giving top awards to outstanding exponents who have dedicated their lives to strengthening the nation's artistic and cultural heritage.

The president took a tour of the Handicrafts Fair installed at the GAN, an immersive experience consisting of eight demonstration stations, where master craftsmen from six states of the country exhibit ancient processes such as loom weaving, ceramics, Warao basketry and the luthery of the Venezuelan four.

In this edition, the Bolivarian Government accredited figures with more than 30 years of life experience:

Plastic Arts: Efraín Nicolás López González (60 years of experience).

Craftsmanship: Rosaura Funes Ramos (doll teacher, 40 years of work).

Architecture: Francisco Javier Pimentel M. (60 years of social commitment).

Photo: Carmelo Antonio Raydan Ríos (45 years of Zuliano's heritage).

Cinema: Tarik Souki Farías (50 years in the promotion of national cinema and the ULA).

Circus arts: Oswaldo Barreto Monroy (55 years in the formation of generations).

Traditional knowledge: Eufrasia Ramona Zambrano (75 years under the preservation of the Llanero crib).

Popular culture: Mitiliano Díaz Díaz (60 years in defense of musical identity).

Literature: Armando José Sequera (international narrator).

Humanities: Mirla Alcibiades Rondón (literary and historical researcher).

Music: Víctor Manuel Armas “Papiro” (builder and diffuser of the Barloventeño Joropo).

Dance: Miguel Vicente Issa Ponce (35 years of stage innovation).

Theater: José Villamizar “Yorlando” (65 years of theater as a critical tool).

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, thanked President Rodríguez for supporting the creators, in addition to stressing the importance of this meeting.

“This is the festival of culture that deserves to be celebrated every day because we have a lot of culture, a lot of identity and Venezuelanism to give,” he said.
