President in charge Delcy Rodríguez: The closure of Morrocoy National Park is not contemplated

During a day of supervision in the Morrocoy National Park, on compliance with environmental protection measures and sustainable tourism, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that “the closure of the park is not contemplated or planned”.
In this regard, it ratified its commitment to the balance and sustainability of the Morrocoy National Park, following the events recorded during the Carnival holiday.
He stressed that it is essential to work to correct the behavior of tourists and park visitors, in a responsible and sustainable manner.
In this context, he congratulated the actions of the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, and the fishermen, who have addressed the associated problems with a constructive vision.
The president in charge explained that the ecological vision she proposes has a collaborative approach that involves the community in the preservation of this priceless natural resource and visitors, for the benefit of the environment; as well as those who enjoy this space.
He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude “to our fishermen and women, who are guardians of our seas and the Caribbean Sea, since their work not only contributes to the conservation of marine biodiversity, but is also crucial for the livelihood and nutrition of the Venezuelan people.”
