The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a high-level working meeting with authorities in the area of citizen security.
During this meeting, he reviewed progress on security plans for the protection of the Venezuelan population and the impact of the Peace Quadrants throughout the national territory.
In a review of Venezolana de Televisión, he points out that the purpose of the meeting was to achieve the goal of six thousand quadrants throughout the country. Currently, there are just over three thousand in operation, which represents 57% in conjunction with the Community Circuits.
The Peace Quadrants as an ideal security policy have made it possible to strengthen citizen peace and, in this regard, Venezuela currently has one of the lowest homicide rates in the region, with three cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Another point of interest that was discussed at the meeting was that of video surveillance systems in all states of the country to provide more protection to residents.
The president in charge was accompanied by the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace and Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, together with heads of the country's police forces.
