President in charge: Food consumption increased by 9.4% in May

The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, from the Altagracia parish in the capital city, reported that in the month of May “food consumption increased by 9.4%”.

In this regard, he explained that “in this increase in consumption, proteins comprise practically 9%. If we know that chicken is the first food, but there is pork, meat, which increased its consumption; eggs, so it is very satisfying to see that the protein plan, which provides nutrients, continues to increase”.

He also assured that Venezuela is still “on the productive path”, to guarantee the consumption of the Venezuelan people and affordable prices through these social programs.
