President in Charge inaugurates monument in honor of heroes and heroines of January 3, 2026

This Monday, the President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, paid tribute to the monument of the heroes and heroines of last January 3, in the General Cemetery of the South.

The journey of these works that began on “Calle los Mártires”, Rodríguez also reported that today this work is being delivered, that “in just six months a great intervention was made”, between the Bolivarian Government and the People, in homage to the fallen of Caracazo (...) “to our martyrs, the street of our martyrs”.

“We have also kicked off this inauguration, the tribute to the fallen of January 3, 2026", he said.

He also highlighted that this work together, in turn, benefits the “Estrellas del Sur” Commune, where a direct step has been made to the community of Santa Eduviges.

Therefore, it is important to highlight that this is a monumental work that was built with pieces of “Carrara marble and lion gray granite”; therefore, the mausoleum is a space that immortalizes the courage of noble men and women who gave way to immortality in defense of their homeland.
