The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, asked Venezuelans to use Holy Week as a time of encounter, prayer and union to continue moving forward for Venezuela.
“We ask our Virgin of the Valley for her blessings so that the Venezuelan people continue to build the reunion. May this week of spirituality bring us peace, security and happiness,” said the President in Charge through a post on her Telegram account.
Rodríguez, stressed that in Venezuela he indicated a national deployment of more than 229,000 officials belonging to Public Security agencies, as well as 3,000 recreational people who want to accompany activities on beaches, mountains and temples.
He also recalled that throughout the Major Week there will be no educational activities and there will be days off in ministries, except for essential service sectors, as part of the Electric Energy Savings Plan.
The President in Charge explained that this measure responds to the 45 days of high temperatures that the country is going through.
He also assured that emergency teams are kept on high alert to deal with outbreaks of forest fires resulting from global warming. “Despite the climate challenges and the economic blockade, Venezuela is moving forward with strength,” he added.
