The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that next Wednesday, March 18, the administrative commission of the trade agreement between Venezuela and Colombia will be installed, which aims to perfect binational economic exchange.

He recalled that fundamental agreements have been signed in the Binational Zone of Peace and Development between the two nations and assured that industrial capacities are installed on the Colombian-Venezuelan border ready to promote shared economic growth.

In that regard, he emphasized that the unilateral coercive measures imposed against the nation directly affect the Peoples of our Latin America. “Hence the need for an end to sanctions in our country,” he added.

This was stated during a working meeting at the Miraflores Palace, with delegations from Venezuela and Colombia, with the objective of further strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

He asserted that firm steps are being taken towards South American integration through cooperation and strategic exchange between Colombia and Venezuela in the field of gas, petrochemicals and oil.

He also mentioned tourism integration, “steps had already been taken between our countries to make the Campaign Route Admirable. That we have multi-destinations and we can receive from other continents such as Asia. The landscapes of our countries are extraordinary and unique.”
