As part of the national deployment to guarantee food sovereignty during the Holy Week season 2026, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led the Venezuela Eat Fish Fair, in the emblematic Redoma de Petare, Sucre municipality.

With this fair, approximately 447 communities and more than 30,000 families will be favored, through the communal circuits of Antonio José de Sucre, with a radius of 90 surrounding circuits, extending to the Cacique Carapaica communal circuit, which has about 38 neighboring circuits serving 600 communities, which are reflected in 15,000 families.

In addition, the inhabitants of the communities will have the disposal of 69 tons of fish protein, including 60 marine species. Accompanied by authorities from the Executive Cabinet and representatives of the People's Power, the President in Charge toured the different points of sale where tons of marine and river protein were distributed at affordable prices, thus benefiting thousands of families in the eastern part of the capital.

It is worth noting that Rodríguez reported last Thursday, March 26, from the state of Nueva Esparta, that, with the guarantee of guaranteeing seafood during the Major Week, more than a thousand sales centers have been installed throughout the country.

He also highlighted the promotion and consolidation of the “Venezuela Eats Fish” initiative, stressing that 30,000 tons of seafood are expected to be delivered during the religious holiday of 2026.
