President-in-charge reaffirms Venezuela's sovereignty 216 years after the Proclamation of Independence

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, commemorated 216 years since the Proclamation of the Independence of Venezuela, confirming that with the same patriotic spirit of that historic date, “today we reaffirm the defense of the freedom and sovereignty of the nation.”

Through his Telegram channel, he indicated that April 19, 1810, marked the beginning of the struggle to consolidate Venezuelan emancipation from Spanish rule.

“With the same patriotic spirit of that historic date, today we reaffirm the defense of the nation's freedom and sovereignty,” he said.

In the video, the president in charge stated that the spark of Independence in Venezuela, “is today more burning than ever.”
