The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, reiterated this Monday, March 02, that “we have told President (Donald) Trump, who considers us his friends, his partners, we have told him that we celebrate and welcome that consideration, but the blockade against Venezuela has to end now, sanctions must be lifted, the people and Venezuela deserve it.”

“Enough of the blockade, enough of that stateless class that asked for sanctions, that called for bombing, that called for invasion. Brothers, sisters, that's enough,” he said,

He urged the people to “take a step forward, a new spirituality of reunion, of democratic coexistence, of tolerance, of turning the page of hatred and extremism forever, no more hatred, no more intolerance”.

“I am sure he will be able to educate that kind of extremist politics that has brought Venezuela into situations of great danger, great risk and suffering. Of those who, every day they asked for sanctions, didn't think about the education of our children, didn't think about the health of our people, didn't think about food, about housing, they didn't think about the infrastructure of services for our people,” he said.

He emphasized that “the time has come to heal, the time has come for Venezuela to raise its healing hand to heal those wounds left by fascism and extremism in our country and that in national union we take care of Venezuela.”
