The President in Charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during the high-level working meeting with Colombian delegations, aimed at deepening the ties of cooperation, peace and complementarity between the two nations, called for the improvement of binational trade.

“In the area of trade that we have been working on in recent years, it is extraordinary news that on March 18, the administrative commission of the Venezuela-Colombia trade agreement will perfect binational trade,” reiterated the president in charge, who recalled that we are coming from an irrational border closure that violated the Human Rights of the inhabitants of the border in both nations.

In the area of trade, the representative of the National Executive emphasized the importance of moving towards binational citizenship. Under this vision, migrants from both countries are sought to be recognized as citizens with full enjoyment of human rights and protected mobility.
He also reiterated that on the Colombian-Venezuelan border there are industrial capacities installed ready to promote shared economic growth.
