After taking a tour of the Petare parish to oversee the distribution of fish at solidarity prices for Holy Week, the President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that “solidarity prices have a 40% exception for the consumer, for our people.”
These days, promoted by the country's movement of fishermen and women, will last throughout Major Week, bringing directly to communities the freshness and flavor of the sea.
Rodríguez explained that protein from the sea is consolidated as a fundamental pillar in the diet of Venezuelans.
2Today, protein from the sea represents the third protein with a consumption of 17% in the protein basket of Venezuelans,” he explained.
The National Fishery and Aquaculture Protein Distribution Plan 2026 was launched to guarantee access to quality protein at fair prices for Venezuelans.
This fair not only strengthens the local economy by supporting fishermen, but it also promotes healthy consumption habits, ensuring that all citizens can enjoy the nutritional benefits of fish at affordable prices, reaffirming the State's commitment to the well-being of the people.
